Right at Home Sefton is a local quality home care provider that provides care and support to the most vulnerable across the borough of Sefton.
We are looking for friendly, reliable, caring and experienced applicants who would be interested in joining our fantastic team and would be willing to work within the region of Sefton and surrounding areas.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be expected to promote all Right at Home Sefton core values and beliefs in every aspect of your role, from working with our fantastic Clients to mentoring new Care Assistants. This is a full-time role, and you will be required to work at least 35 hours per week.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Delivering the highest quality care and support to our amazing Clients
- Maintaining clear, timely records such as communication sheets, MAR Charts and care plans and alerting the Registered Manager to any issues that may cause concern
- Reporting to management on changes to care requirements and employee training needs
- Mentoring and supporting new Care Assistants during shadowing shifts
- Carrying out daily quality checks for care delivery, employee conduct and paperwork in the field such communication logs, MAR charts and care and support plans
- Working closely with the office team to maintain strong communication with the care delivery team and speaking to Clients for feedback on the service we provide
- Gathering and sharing best practice with peers and the wider team
- Taking an active part in regular team meetings, sharing ideas and suggestions to improving our service
- Carrying out competency checks on new care assistants and offering support where required
- Ensure a thorough knowledge, understanding and adherence to all company policies and procedures in line with CQC regulatory requirements
Right at Home Sefton covers the following areas: Formby, Maghull, Lydiate, Netherton, Bootle, Litherland, Seaforth, Crosby, Waterloo and other surrounding areas. We are also in the process of opening our services in the Southport area.
Requirements of a Senior Care Assistant:
- Minimum of two years experience of working within a health and social care setting
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care
- Experience of promoting wellbeing through a positive attitude and work ethic
- Ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering excellent care
- Able to demonstrate good organisational and leadership skills
- Hold a full and valid driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
- Must be able to work early mornings (7:00am-2:00pm) or early evenings (3:00pm-11:00pm)
- Must be able to commit to at least one evening shift per week working either a 3:00pm-7:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm
- Must be able to commit to working either one weekend day every week or every other full weekend on a permanent basis
